How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled on a first-come/first-serve basis. Contact information is available on the Staff page or you are welcome to use the Appointments page to request an appointment. All communication via phone or e mail is strictly confidential.
How much do you charge for counseling?
Our goal is to make counseling as affordable and accessible as possible. For those experiencing financial stress, we offer the option of applying for a sliding-scale fee structure that is based on income and household size. Our minimum rate is $75 per session and advances gradually to $150 per session. Counseling sessions are 50 minutes to allow time for notes, record keeping, and administration. Payment method options may be discussed at the initial consultation but typically include cash, check, credit/debit card, or a payment/billing arrangement that is mutual workable and agreed upon in advance.
Do you take insurance?
In order to protect our clients, we do not recommend the use of insurance for counseling purposes. We strongly recommend that you do not use insurance for marital or relationship issues unless your policy allows for that benefit without a diagnosis. Insurance is one means of covering the costs of counseling. However, there are many important reasons why the use of insurance may not be in your best interests. If you choose to use insurance, please remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. We will provide you with the information that you request to submit the claim to the insurance company for reimbursement. Please discuss the details of this process with your counselor and make sure that you are aware of the both the benefits and the risks involved with insurance.
